How we source it
Each brief checks the same six tiers of sources: primary official documents, trackers, news and trade press, law firm alerts, think tanks, and newsletters. When several outlets cover the same story, we merge them into one item. Paywalled sources are marked, and bills or rules with no movement that day are listed as “still moving” so they are not presented as new.
